Lantern Festival workshop in Treborth
The Confucius Institute at Bangor University organized a Lantern festival workshop at Treborth Botanic Garden on 6th March. Many volunteers of Treborth and college students participated in this event, and they were really attracted by those red lanterns which were hanged around laboratory.
During the workshop, participants learned about the custom of The Spring Festival and The Lantern Festival, made paper lanterns, solved lantern riddles and play games. At last, participants tried to writing calligraphy and wrote “福” (good fortune) under the guidance of teachers Yang Fengxian. The most interesting thing was taste Chinese food, people enjoyed it very much.
